Doula / Perinatal Mental Health

Allison Riggs is a dedicated doula and certified perinatal mental health professional, passionate about providing compassionate, informative care for women throughout their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journeys. She believes that every woman deserves to feel empowered, informed, and in control during labor and birth, serving as the primary decision-maker for both herself and her baby. For Allison, it is an honor to walk alongside women as they navigate these significant experiences, offering wholehearted support to each of her clients.

Allison earned her Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) in August 2023, expanding her expertise to support women experiencing Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) during pregnancy and up to a year postpartum. With nearly 20% of women in the U.S. facing PMADs—the most common obstetric complication—Allison is committed to offering care that addresses these challenges. She finds joy in working with women and their families wherever they are on their journey, helping them access the care and resources they need for healing and well-being.

Trained through both ToLabor (2014) and DONA International (2018), Allison completed her doula certification in June 2019 with DONA, the world’s most recognized doula training and certifying organization. As part of the Licking County Doula Collective, she collaborates with other doulas to support families within her local community.

At ACE Psychological, Allison provides compassionate care for women navigating birth, postpartum, and mental health challenges, helping them feel empowered and supported every step of the way.

Take the next step toward healing.
