MARIA SHULER

LPCC

Maria Shuler is a passionate and driven therapist who brings energy, empathy, and practical guidance to her work. Known for her ability to both energize and slow down to truly listen, Maria offers a client-centered, strength-based approach to therapy. In sessions, Maria will gently push clients to try new strategies, but always as part of a collaborative effort—because she believes that the client is the driver in their own journey toward healing.

Maria has extensive experience working with individuals and groups, including adults, teenagers, and children. She is also passionate about couples and premarital therapy, helping partners build strong, healthy relationships. Maria works with clients ages 7 to 65, fostering a holistic approach to healing that addresses emotional, physical, spiritual, and relational well-being. Her goal is to create an environment of safety and acceptance, empowering clients to reach their personal goals and realize their full potential.

Maria is trained in a wide range of therapeutic methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, the Gottman Method, Prepare-Enrich, Somatic Experiencing, and Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI). As a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional, she integrates various tools and approaches to meet the unique needs of each client.

Outside of work, Maria enjoys cooking and experimenting with new recipes, diving into her color-coordinated library of books, and hiking in the great outdoors. She also has a love for travel, always seeking her next adventure to explore.

Maria’s philosophy is rooted in the belief that “we can do hard things.” She acknowledges that reaching out for help is a courageous step and would be honored to walk alongside clients as they work toward becoming the healthiest version of themselves.

Take the next step toward healing.
