Beth Lossing
Intern/Counselor Trainee
Beth Lossing is a warm, compassionate, and collaborative therapist who has a way of putting her clients quickly at ease. Gentle and direct, she creates a space that is a safe haven for her clients to be seen, heard, and understood exactly where they are with curiosity rather than judgment. Beth is a well-trained listener and brings great empathy into her work as she helps others find relief and freedom to move forward more successfully and more emotionally connected with themselves and others.
Beth connects easily with people from all walks of life and works with adults, couples, and teens. Her areas of focus include anxiety, depression, loneliness, grief, trauma, sexual abuse, self-esteem issues, life transitions, first responders, parenting, marital issues, spousal support, divorce recovery, adoption and foster care, attachment issues, and more. She draws from a variety of approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), attachment therapy, mindfulness, and is trained in emotionally focused therapy (EFT) for couples and individuals. Beth is trained in formational prayer and also delights to offer faith-based counseling when requested.
Outside of work, Beth enjoys the creative arts – music, theater, dance, visual arts –, being out in nature, staying fit through walking and pilates, writing, travel, decorating, thrifting, and antiquing; she has dabbled in oil painting and enjoys coffee shops, bookstores, and hosting teas and gatherings. Beth adores her three adult children who were adopted from China, loves animals of all kinds, studying the Bible, and creating a sense of home.
Beth has come to counseling as a second career and a lifetime of her own healing journey. She believes no one is exempt from suffering, and we are better when connected and in community with one another. Beth‘s message to future clients is, “You are right here, right now, for a reason. You don’t have to face life’s challenges alone. Allow yourself to be brave and take that next step. . . you can do it!.” ACE Psychological is here to support and walk alongside you to find lasting ways for you to find hope and healing.
